Recklessly Abandoned is a proggy alt rock band who takes a bland Post-grunge sound and spices it up with some more interesting elements. In many ways they remind me of my friends in In a Nutshell. Their is acoustic brilliance in between electric explosions that really get the metal out. Overal the riffs are very straightforward, but they are implemented in a pretty wonderful way. Meanwhile, the vocals are gritty, yet I feel like they could be a bit more explosive. Overall though, Recklessly Abandoned is a pretty tight act that definitely knows how to make some straightforward yet musically interesting sounds.
